About the Service
Q: Is MakeMyBill really free?
A: Yes! MakeMyBill is a pro-bono initiative to empower Indian SMEs. No hidden charges, no credit card required, no trials. Completely free.
Q: Do I need to create an account?
A: No! That's what makes us different. Just visit, choose a template, create your invoice, and download. No registration required.
Q: Is my data stored on your servers?
A: No. Your invoice data stays in your browser. We don't store, track, or save your business information. Your privacy is our priority.
Q: Can I save my invoices for later?
A: Currently, invoices are generated in your browser session. Always download your PDF immediately. We're working on adding draft-saving functionality soon.
Technical Questions
Q: Which browsers are supported?
A: MakeMyBill works best on modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest versions). For best experience, keep your browser updated.
Q: Can I use MakeMyBill on mobile?
A: Yes! Our tool is mobile-responsive. However, creating invoices on desktop/laptop provides a better experience for now.
Q: My PDF isn't downloading. What should I do?
A: Check if your browser is blocking pop-ups. Enable pop-ups for makemybill.online, then try again. If issues persist, email ideasrig@gmail.com
Q: Can I customize the invoice templates?
A: Currently, you can customize all the content fields (company name, items, prices, etc.). Full visual customization (colors, logos) is coming soon.
GST & Compliance
Q: Are these invoices GST-compliant?
A: Yes! Our templates include all mandatory GST invoice elements as per Indian tax regulations. However, always consult your CA for specific compliance needs.
Q: Why only 18% IGST option?
A: We started with the most common tax rate. CGST+SGST options and multiple tax rates (5%, 12%, 18%, 28%) are coming in our next update.
Q: Can I use these for B2B and B2C transactions?
A: Yes, our invoices work for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions.
Privacy & Security
Q: How do you ensure my business data is secure?
A: Since we don't store any data on our servers, there's nothing to breach. Your information exists only in your browser session and in the PDF you download.
Q: Do you share data with third parties?
A: No. We don't collect business data, so there's nothing to share. We use basic analytics (page visits, no personal data) to improve the service.
